The Sea Cadet program provides a wide variety of one to two week long trainings during the summer months and a smaller number during winter and spring school vacations. For the younger cadets, or Navy Leaguers, these are special trainings geared to their age group.
For the regular cadets, the first training is Recruit Training, where the cadet learns the basics of Sea Cadet life. After that, he or she has a plethora of possibities from which to choose. Arkansas Division cadets have done everything from Master-At-Arms training in Texas to learning to be a plane captain for an F/A 18 Super-Hornet in central California. There are also possibilities for training abroad with the Sea Cadet programs of other countries.
